The Desktop Tutor

Wordpress 2.7 just came out not long ago and offers vast improvements over the previous version.

Upgrading is once again easy, download the zip file, upload over your existing installation (saving any custom hacks you might have) then click the “upgrade” button on your site.
Note:You will probably want to backup your site first before you do this!!!

First thing you may notice is the dashboard is 100% different. When I first logged in there was a shriek and then a – “holy cow this is waaaaay better” Caught the attention of people in the room for sure. Read the rest of this entry »

Frustration over the basics of using the computer for new users is one of the most things I hear nearly on a daily basis.

It is more than just “how do I do….” it is also the fear of messing something up or breaking the computer and then having to deal with some outsourced customer service rep somewhere or being on the phone for hours and not getting the answers you need that really help.
