Someone shot a thread over to me today about a company that has many complaints about it’s online selling techniques poor customer support and the inability to get resolutions or REFUNDS… gees. I wont name the company because that is not important, what is important is that when you order ANYTHING online, or in a store or through a rep, that you LOOK and read the refund policy, the terms of agreement if they have them on a website, and how to contact customer support.
If you buy in a store, and you buy from a sales rack, a reputable store will have something that says.. “No Refunds on Sale Items” if this is the case, and most people notice that.. but websites are different.
The “Get a Free.. something and Only Pay Shipping” is a legitimate selling technique, but KNOW what you are getting for free and KNOW if it obligates you to further purchases or automatic shipments.

I am stepping out of my usual giving tips, tricks, and such in my posts to talk about a trend that I am seeing now in the social arena that really saddens me.
We were all new once using the computer and the Internet, and I see more and more Baby Boomers, Computer “newbies” and people needing help on how to use a computer being shunned or somehow being made fun of. This really bothers me!
I know many people who are very technically adept, they have cell phones, IPods, or work in very technical professions and yet when they ask for help with their computer as a tool they are somehow perceived as stupid for asking the question.

Music really is the life blood of my work. No matter where I am or what I’m doing there is almost always music on somewhere around me. It helps me think, get creative, and blocks out the voices in my head (OK well just kidding on that last one
). I have had satellite radio in my vehicles for at least the last 6 years.
Most recently I had a good friend of mine introduce me to Pandora which is a free internet radio. However it goes beyond the norm of having ump-teen hundred stations that you can choose from where other people pick their favorite songs to play on it. (hello shoutcast, sirius, etc)

Pop ups are usually a java script program embedded with advertisement used for online advertising which are published on the internet. Pop up windows will appear in a new window when the user opens a website. These pop ups should be blocked for the security of your system.
Opera was the first to introduce the pop up blocker. Mozilla followed the same with some more advance features. These features will stop the pop ups and prevents the computer from contracting malware.
